Diane Aspinall

I retired as Director of Adult Health and Social Care, after 40 years of employment with Liverpool City Council, in 2018. I have been a member of the Citizens Advice Liverpool Board of Trustees for more than two years, during which I have assisted our very able staff in improving the experience of accessing our service. 

This work has proved invaluable during the pandemic, as many of our plans involved transitioning to a web- and telephone-based service, allowing us to assist more clients than ever.  Prior to joining the Board of Trustees, I had always admired the work of Citizens Advice when we’d collaborated on a number of projects. The charity’s desire to alleviate poverty and assist vulnerable people in Liverpool and beyond is an ethos I hold close to my heart.
